Hi Folks! I hate to think about it but I’m afraid that it’s getting to be
about time to get the pool ready for winter, at least here in Central
Illinois USA!
I know that a few of you have gotten solar panels this year and I’d like to
tell you about the experience I’ve […]

Glass
August 5th, 2007 · No Comments
Oh no! A wind blew over the table with a glass top and it shattered and
some got into the AG pool. My 11 year old nephew did his best to get it all
out but no doubt there is some still there. Any quick solutions or advice
anyone?
Thanks
Norma

Cooling the pool
July 21st, 2007 · No Comments
I think I found a way to cool off our IG pool. Temperatures here
(Memphis) have been around 100 and the water temp is about 90. Needless
to say, the water is evaporating and it was down about 2″ today (28,000
gal) so I did what I normally do….pulled the hose over and started
adding water. Then, I realized […]

Pool pump motor to replace Polaris motor?
June 24th, 2007 · 1 Comment
I’m selling a pool pump motor on eBay and I received a question from a
looker that I don’t know the answer to and I wonder if someone here might
know. The motor I’m selling is a 1HP 2-speed motor and the looker wants to
know if it would work on his Polaris pool cleaner pump. He said […]

Kreepy krauly thruster
June 17th, 2007 · 1 Comment
Hello Group,
I use a Kreepy Krauly in my 20 x 40 in ground vinyl pool. I have had
several attachments called Thrusters that are positioned in the suction
line and intermittently change the Kreepy Krauly’s direction to keep it
random.
The problem is, they cost $80 and don’t really work that well. Does
anybody know of an alternative or some […]

Closing up my pool early - any problems?
June 12th, 2007 · No Comments
Guys,
I would like to close my pool up at the end of July this year - I
normaly keep it open until September. Are there any special
considerations regarding closing up the pool early during the warmer
weather? I live in NJ and have solar panels, I hold the water
temperature at about 78′F.
Thanks
Andrew

thruster

Hello Group,
I have an in ground pool that I use a kreepy krauley in. I have gone
through 2 thrusters in the last several years. The old ones had
adjustable periods and the newer ones do not, but neither seemed to
work very long or very well.
I like the kreepy krauley, but does anyone have any suggestions about
an […]

Pool 1h motor pump on timer? - run 24/7 or give it a rest for a few
April 28th, 2007 · 3 Comments
Hello,
Thanks for letting me join this group. I have a question. I have a
timer that is rated 15 amp and my 1h pump is rated 12.5 amp so think
it’s safe to use this outdoor timer along with the 1h motor but is it
best to let the pool pump motor run 24/7 all the time or […]
