padding above ground pool/well water…

July 23rd, 2007 · 1 Comment

does anyone know if anyone makes padding for above ground pools? for
around the metal top frame? we have problem w/the pool inflatables
getting holes due to the metal sides. we dont get cut just the floats
get poked some how, i was on one day when it happened so i know first
hand. thx.
also does anyone use well water in there pool? we have been using
city water to maintain water level but many a times we forget to turn
it off. we have a hook up for the well right by the pool and i used
it the last 2 times to top off the pool but dh got mad and said it
will mess up the chemistry of the pool, yet it has since cleared up
since i added the well water (it had a green clouding problem from
turning pump off over vacation and then was left w/blue cloudy water
after chem. treatments).
anyways.. thx for ur time!

thx for all replies… this is such a great group!
i did think about the pipe insulation (considering the one
from the well/hose fell off. was wondering if there were
different sizes. :D as for the water.. the bbb method is somewhat new to me(i knew one girl
many yrs ago that used bleach in her water). i have thought about it.
do you all usually only use clorox or can generic bleach be used. how
do you know how much to use. and the borax, doesn’t that get
    soapy/susdsy? thx.
sorry to be such a pain!
