Cartridge Filters

June 20th, 2007 · No Comments

I have a Foxx pool with a Wal Pack that takes cartridge filters. I’m
getting some very fine dirt in the pool that my filters won’t seem to
pick up. I’m thinking that I need to replace the cartridges as they
are about 3 years old. I looked at a site that has them and they have
3 different ones. I’m not sure which to get as mine have no markings
on them. Can anyone tell me the difference between 60sf, 80sf, and
110sf? Would a 110sf filter out finer particles than a 60sf, or are
they sized according to your pump? My pump is a 1 1/2 hp.
Thanks to all who replied about the Hayward Heat Pump. It is installed
and seems to be working fine. It hasn’t run too much as the water was
very warm, 85, when it was started up. Also haven’t gotten that first
electric bill yet!
