Looking for someone to maintain my pool

June 6th, 2007 · No Comments

I have a 24ft. round above the ground pool that I need to have
maintained and closed. We’ve had a service (an acquaintence) begin
the opening process, but since it’s above the ground the guy has
completely slacked in doing his job!!! He or a worker shows up for
literally 15 minutes every week (and only once a week - no matter
what needs to be done), they threw in shock, skimmed the top of the
pool and off they go. The guy has dragged this out for 1 1/2 months
and my pool STILL ISN’T OPEN!!!!
This is where we stand:
We were told to get new sand because the sand in the filter container
is no longer clean (hasn’t been changed in at least 5 years) - and
it’s not working to it’s full potential. So we immediately ran out
to Leslie’s Pool and got the required sand…..nothing has been done
except shocking the pool since then (2 weeks ago).
Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced service or a private

individual (preferably) in the Fairfield County area (I’m in
Stamford).
Thank you - my family is getting tired of staring at this pool -
we’ve had 3 summer events this year already and had to embarassingly
apologize for the pool not being ready.
