Solar Pool cover 17 x 35 question

June 1st, 2007 · 2 Comments

I have an opportunity to buy a solar pool cover (Blue-Blue)
thats what they called it, for $ 50.
It measures 17 ft x 35 ft.
The thing is, I have a 18′ x 4′ AG (Round)pool, with actual
diameter of 17′5″.
Can I cut this to make it work, or is it a good deal that
will not work properly for Me? I need one, but sometimes good deals
may not be right for needs. There won’t be much overlap, and
some gaps. Please advise
Thanks
CN

I’ve heard ppl say they actually prefer to cut the solar cover into several
smaller, more manageable pieces and then let them float on the surface.

the piece that is a full cover..its so hard to get in and out of the pool, that
I dont even use mine anymore. Ive heard of people buying some liquid solar
cover in a fish shaped thing and it keeps the water a decent temp..my feeling is
this..let the sun itself heat it up, and be done with it..
