Suggestions to repair pool liner???

May 29th, 2007 · 1 Comment

I would like to try and get one more season from my pool liner. I have
a big hole at the top of one section of my liner of my 18 foot round
pool. I tried to use an inflatable piece of material with glue and
stick it all together along with tape but I must have left some gaps in
it. It wasn’t exactly an even piece.
Does anyone have any suggestions to what I can use to patch the big
hole? Maybe something I can buy from a home improvement store instead
of a pool place and spending a great deal of money?
It is now leaking past my filter area so until I fix this, I can’t
run my pump.
Thank you,
Suzanne

We have an inground pool and it looked good the first year we moved
here and started getting holes the second season. We cannot afford a
liner at this time so we bought vinyl and plumbers glue, its holding
very well. We had no idea when we moved here that liners were so
exspensive. It will take us a long while to save for a new liner, wish
we could buy a used liner lol…
