Pine Needle Clog

May 22nd, 2007 · 1 Comment

Hello group;
Anyone have any suggestions on clearing a pine needle clog in a pool
intake line? Daughter vacuumed up a good amount and now the line is
clogged. Can use the skimmer line but would like to have both available.
Pump pressure won’t pull it through.
Thanks for any help;
Peznt

    you blowbag might prove useful, if that does not work, then you would
    need to use CO2. A blowbag can be purchased fairly inexpensively,
    however, it might be hard to find one the right size for your plumbing.
    and unless you already have a compressed gas cylinder, you may need to
    call a local pool guy or plumber. you may also try looking in any 3 way
    valves that you have. alot of times the blockages occur underthe lids
    because the debris can’t make it around the tight corner. for the
    future, when vacuuming heavy debris, an inline leaf canister would be a
    good investment and prevent such occurences.
