Since we have opened our pool this spring we have had a lot of air
bubbles in the return jets.
Of particular concern is that at the point where the underground
pipe “T’s” (to go to the shallow and deep end jets) we are getting a
lot of pretty loud gurgling.
I am thinking that this turbulent flow may lead to eating away t the T
fitting and eventually result in a leak.
1. SO my first question is there any validity in my fear ?
2. Question #2 is there anything else I need to worry about with this
in my plumbing system? My local pool guy did not seem to think it
would be much of a problem but I think it might be.
Last area is of course to figure out where it is coming from and stop
it. I have a Solar Heater on the roof. I have tightened up the lid
on the pump. I have one small leak that I could see that has been
there since last year … like a drop every 2 seconds.
3. Is there a likely area / culprit for air getting in? I was
thinking the Solar panels may have a leak in them from the winter
snow freeze / thaw cycle (I live near Toronto). But from hat I can
see on the ground I cna not see any water leaking although I can hear
grugling through the pipes when I am upstairs. So it is happening
either before or at the SOlar pipes.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You
Denis
