Can anyone recommend a good pool alarm? Consumer Reports recommends
Poolguard. We wanted to install an automatic pool cover but all the
companies we contacted for an estimate said they couldn’t install a
cover because of our waterfall.

Did you check ph? You might need to add some acid. Cloudiness can
indicate high ph, which reduces the effectiveness of chlorine.

BTW, I’m assuming the pump is on and set to filter. The filter could
use a cleaning/backwash depending on type, so check if the pressure is
running high, but clean either way.
