Pool 1h motor pump on timer? - run 24/7 or give it a rest for a few

April 28th, 2007 · 3 Comments

Hello,

timer that is rated 15 amp and my 1h pump is rated 12.5 amp so think
it’s safe to use this outdoor timer along with the 1h motor but is it
best to let the pool pump motor run 24/7 all the time or […]

Hayward Filter Sand Replacement Question

April 28th, 2007 · No Comments

Whats the easiest way to do this? Can I just disconnect the valve at
the top and put sand in the top hole? I have a very tight working
space to deal with and don’t want to disconnect the plumbing if I don’t
have too.

Black Algae spots all over bottom of liner

April 26th, 2007 · 1 Comment

Hello all thanks for taking the time to look at my question. I have a
16×32 in ground pool with an 3′ to 8′ hopper end and the past couple of
years the deep sides and bottom have been getting these hideous black
blotches all over the place increasingly getting worse. We’ve been to
all the pool “experts” around […]

Low Chlorine Readings on Salt System

April 25th, 2007 · No Comments

setting on the generator is at about 100% and run it at least 12 hours
per day.
I live in the south (Louisiana) and the pool gets fairly warm (80 to
90 degrees). […]

Pool Filling and pool cover questions

April 22nd, 2007 · 1 Comment

We hope to fill our 18 x 4′ AG pool this week.
6400 gallon prox capacity.
Anyone know how long it takes to fill on city water,
normal pressure ?
Its cheaper to fill with city water and take the waste water
credit than to have it trucked in by tanker.
Also, what should I be looking for in buying a […]

The (Solar) Heat Is On! (Longish report).

April 18th, 2007 · No Comments

Greetings everyone,
I’ve been away from this group since we closed our pool last fall,
but we have been busy getting it ready for this season. All we need
now is a few more degrees!
At the close of last season we accepted that we’d need to repaint
the pool - a major and costly […]
