Hi everyone,
I’m about ready to convert to a salt chlorine generator system. Does
anyone have any recommendations, warnings or other comments about
particular brands and models? I’m looking at the Jandy Aquapure 1400
system, so any comments about that would be great.
Looks fairly simple, but any tips or tricks about the conversion process
are more than welcome, too!
Cannot wait to jump in. Maybe tomorrow…..

Well I ended up getting a Polaris AutoClearPlus chlorine generator for a
pretty good price. Once I got the pool cleaned and balanced I added
salt. I think it was 14 bags total. After a couple days the salt level
was within range so I installed the system.
Very easy installation and it went perfectly with only one exception -
the first time I turned the unit on it seemed to power up as it should,
but then after a few seconds the display went dead. After some
investigation I found that despite being factory wired for 220v, they
put in the wrong fuse. Switched the fuse and it’s been working like a
charm since.
