Hi all. Newbie here with pool purchase questions. We’ve always wanted
an inground pool but now that we are looking we are finding more
questions than answers. There seems to be a wide variation in pricing,
construction methods, materials, etc. Anyone have an opinion about what
is the best value for the money invested and what will require the
least maintenance over time? Since we are in a rural area, hubby thinks
we’ll have snakes and frogs in our pool if we get one inground. The
above ground ones certainly are less expensive but how much actual
swimming can you do in one and what is the average lifespan of one
before it has to be replaced? Also heard about the new salt water pools
that don’t cost an arm and a leg for chemicals every summer - Just an
ultraviolet light that water passes thru to kill bacteria. Any opinions
on this one? Thanks in advance for any advice. At least you guys don’t
have a profit motive to steer us in the wrong direction!
Thanks,
Marion in sunny Georgia
Do we really want an inground pool?
