Hi all you helpful and expert people. I am a newbie. I installed our
15′ AG pool this past summer. We chose a liner with the J-hook design
because the salesperson said it would ease replacement later. Well a
couple of times over the summer the liner came off the J-hook in couple
of spots. Winter came and we […]

Automatic Cleaner’s

Newbie here. We’re getting our “used” Muskin 48″ 10′X15′ oval pool
installed in the next couple of weeks. My local pool guys swears by
the Polaris 65 and my brother-in-law swears by the Barracuda. Any
thoughts on either of the two?

Is is possible to apply a concrete stain to my plaster pool?
February 26th, 2007 · No Comments
Hello.
I have a plaster pool which I am re-tiling. My entire pool is colored
blue-green. This color is not algae, it has been applied in the past. I
have chipped off the tiles and I find that the plaster has not been
mixed with a coloring agent. The blue-green color sits at the top of
the plaster. It does […]

brown pool
February 25th, 2007 · No Comments
I just saw the photo of the brown pool in California. That sounds like
an alternative to a heated pool in a country with lots of sunshine
like California or, indeed, Montenegro, where I live.
How can I go about it?
Regards

disinfrvtion; solar heating

I am about to have my first ever pool constructed. Hence my questions
may sound dumb to most members. Anyway, here we go:-
(1) How do I go about having the pool heated with solar? Here in
Montenegro, a heated pool would extend the swimming season by nearly 3
months.
(2)I have seen in a pool a layer of ping-pong […]

Is this really a 1 year old pool?
February 23rd, 2007 · No Comments
HI - I’m new and hoping someone can help me make a decision about
purchasing a pre-owned swimming pool. The pool is a Vogue Prima, but I
have not been able to find much info about it online, which leads me to
believe it is not being manufactured anymore and may be older than the
seller is disclosing. Does […]

Chlorine generator comments wanted
February 21st, 2007 · 1 Comment
Hi everyone,
I’m about ready to convert to a salt chlorine generator system. Does
anyone have any recommendations, warnings or other comments about
particular brands and models? I’m looking at the Jandy Aquapure 1400
system, so any comments about that would be great.
Looks fairly simple, but any tips or tricks about the conversion process
are more than welcome, too!
Cannot wait […]
