Pool Closing gadgets

January 28th, 2007 · 1 Comment

Hi all, We are new pool owners. We have a 15′ round A.G. and live on
the east coast. Mt intention was to lower the water level below the
skimmer and return. Yesterday a salesman showed me things that you can
use and not have to drain the pool at all. They are……..a plug for
the return hole, a plate to cover the skimmer opening, and some
attachment to screw in to the bottom of the skimmer. Any comments on
these gadgets?
To Drain or Not to Drain?
Thanks
Lee

    Hi,
The problem with keeping all the water in your pool is that winter snow and fall
/ spring rains will overflow it and cause additional problems for you.
While its true that you could keep all the water in, you will probably not want
    to.
    Good luck,
    Steve
