When my pool is completed, and the equipment is hooked up, and
everything’s running, how can I determine how many gallons per minute
are actually being pumped? As far as I can see from pictures, it
doesn’t look like the pump will have a gauge on it which shows back
pressure or flow rate (it will be a Jandy JHP stealth pump). The
Jandy DE filter will have a pressure gauge on it, but I don’t know if
that will be displaying the same thing as the back pressure that the
pump is seeing. If it is, then I can just use the pressure shown and
look at the pump curve and determine the flow rate.
I don’t know how critical it is to know exactly, but I think it would
be nice to know the actual flow rate of my system once it’s completed,
just so I can make some accurate decisions as to how many hours per
day I’ll be running the pump.
Thanks,
Greg
