Does anyone have any experience with either of these cleaners? Both
are suction, but other than that, I don’t know what the differences
are. Some dealer are telling me the Navigator replaced the Pool Vac
but if that’s the case why am I still seeing both for sale?
Any idea what the differences are and which is better?
Thanks!
Leah

Leah,
The Hayward climbs the vertical walls fine. Sometimes takes some fine
adjustments to keep it from “surfacing” like a while.. making sucking sounds
when it reaches the surface.
Hayward comes with hoses, guages (for telling how much pressure your water is
producing) and a device for allowing you to lower the pressure, if necessary.
The Robot itself has 3 adjustments for how closely it adheres to the surface.
Depending on the setting it moves faster than on others..
Good luck,
Steve

Hi Leah,
DOH, do I feel silly, you are in Canada, of course there are not that
many pool stores around. I live in South Florida, and there are
several stores here. Also, since it is so warm, we tend to get algae
on our walls, so it is very important for the Pool Vac to be able to
climb the walls and suction it off. I can see that this would not be
an issue for you. In fact, I was swimming today, our water
temperature is 88°F and we do not have a heater !! That said, I don’t
think that the Pool Vac Ultra will have a problem vaccuming your deep
end. My husband tells me that you can adjust the suction, so you
should be able to adjust it to suit your needs. Hope you have some
fine swimming weather up there in Canada !!
