PH and TA

September 30th, 2006 · No Comments

My PH and my TA are both low in my pool (not extremely, just a little) I know I
have been told before that you should treat one and it will automatically help
the other. Which way is it? Do I treat the PH or the TA?

Painting Gunite

September 29th, 2006 · No Comments

My gunite pool was painted a few years back with an epoxy paint. Can
anyone recommend a good quality paint that will last more than a few
years? Are there any alternative to epoxy paint that will work?

One more last time ……

September 28th, 2006 · No Comments

Here’s my stats: 33,000 Gal, vinyl liner, kidney shaped
Chlorine, Free 1.0 ppm
Chlorine, Total 1.0 ppm
pH Below 6.8 (Neon yellow)
Alkalinity 10.0 ppm
Cyanuric acid 80ppm
I am targeting the free chlorine to 2.0 ppm, the pH to 7.2. I
understand that the alkalinity should be 80-120 ppm and i’m ok on the
Cyan. acid.
So……
to raise alkalinity, add baking soda and […]

Anyone Ever Use the Polaris Spa Wand?

September 27th, 2006 · No Comments

Hi Everyone,
I’m lazy and hate getting out the big bulky pool vacuum when my spa
has some dirt in it. I have been surfing the web for a solution and
found a product called the Polaris Spa Wand. Has anyone tried it and
if so how do they like it? Or does anyone have a different/better
product to suggest?
Thanks
Debbie

pipes through concrete slab?

September 23rd, 2006 · No Comments

I’m moving my pump/filter for my in-ground pool about 20′ and have a
question.. originally the pipes went down through the patio deck where
the pump was sitting (not bolted down). So the pipes were fixed in
place while the pump, filter, and nature2 container could be moved
freely around.
When I pour a new pad for the equipment should […]

Hayward Pool Vac Ultra or Navigator

September 22nd, 2006 · 2 Comments

Does anyone have any experience with either of these cleaners? Both
are suction, but other than that, I don’t know what the differences
are. Some dealer are telling me the Navigator replaced the Pool Vac
but if that’s the case why am I still seeing both for sale?
Any idea what the differences are and which is better?
Thanks!
Leah
