Inflatable Ring Leak/ New Member

August 30th, 2006 · No Comments

Hi,
I’m new to your group, a wife/mother in Upstate NY. Last year we
purchased a 4′ above ground inexpensive pool with the inflatable ring
at the top which holds the pool up. Over the winter the inflatable
ring acquired several holes. We got them patched but the ring is
still leaking air. We are at our witt’s end trying to find the leak
but have been unsuccessful. We’ve submerged the ring watching for
bubbles. We’ve splashed water on it to find bubbles or hissing.
Nada. Ideas? Is there any product like “Fix A Flat” works for car
tires, which would inflate and seal a hole? For those who have never
seen it– the inflation in the ring got too low when the pool was
filling, prior to finding the other holes– the water began spilling
over the side in massive amounts. My husband had the wisdom to run
over and pull the side up while I reinflated the tube. I was very
upset. We can’t afford much better for the family and this pool has

been a Godsend to us. I appreciate any help you’all might have!!
