safer chlorine alternative

June 30th, 2006 · No Comments

Hi,
Is there a chemical which is readily available in england (uk) which
can be used a chlorine safer alternative ?
I currently have my pool empty and am also thinking of replacing the
silica sand in the filter for a advance filter media which i beleive
is a fine treated glass compond made in edinburgh.
Thanks for any advice.

My skimmer was dislodged and my pipes filled up with pine straw. I
used an auger and got a big chunk but the auger won’t make another
turn to pull out the rest. I am trying a drain jet to see if I can
push the clog.. Will this need to run a long time …it does seem […]

in place for 2 years.
We are re-doing the garden a little and would like […]

a momma duck (I call her slutducky) and her babies in the pool for a
while, […]

Easy Set Pool Filter

June 24th, 2006 · No Comments

Hi we have an above ground 18ft Intex Easy Set Pool and the cartridge
filter that came with it is terrible. Can we purchase a sand filter
to use instead? If so, then we could hook up a regular pool vacuum?

June 23rd, 2006 · No Comments

I was skimming through posts and saw a few that looked like somebody
was seeing a mjor leak and it reminded me of a conversation I had with
my neighbor a while ago. He had winterized and had a cover on his
pool and noticed that the level was dropping.. his fear that his pool
had sprung a leak […]

heard of people having others sign waivers […]

Spring Project - Finding the leak

June 22nd, 2006 · No Comments

Hello all, I’m probably not going to like some of your answers to my
questions but I am determined to have my pool functioning again this
summer so it has to be asked. What are the steps to finding a leak
in your pool? We realized it was a leak late last summer just about
[…]
