Question RE well water

March 1st, 2006 · No Comments

We are in the process of filling our inground vinyl lined pool for the first
time. We are using our well and it’s going good so far, as far as all the
house water still seems clean and clear and is still running strong. Once the
liner was seated we allowed the kids to swim and I have 3 kids screaming in
agony that the water is burning their eyes. We’ve had a pool before and they
never complained when the water was treated with chemicals, why would the pure
well water, that has been recently tested and not found to have any problems and
tastes just as good as any store bought spring water burn their eyes so bad?
We aren’t planning to treat it with chemicals until it’s completely full and
the filter is operating. Is it a ph issue? Should pure water burn so bad? I
have to add that I have’nt tested it with my own eyes open underwater yet.
All thoughts welcome.
