Hello - new here

February 16th, 2006 · 1 Comment

Hello,
I’m new here and probably don’t belong - but here goes. I bought a
pool at Wal-mart yesterday - 18′x48″ - I am currently filling it with
well water. It is turning an orange-ish color - I’m thinking rust.
What do I need to do? My parents had a pool years ago and kept it
clear basically with chlorine and never had this problem - any help
would be great! Thanks
Denise from Indiana

Most likely iron rather than rust. Like the other poster mentioned, it
should filter out, but if you have a sand filter, you may actually have to
    replace
the sand several times if it appears to be recycling through. Good luck.
