Elite solar cover reel

We have an Elite brand reel for our solar cover. The bearings seem to
last only a couple of seasons, and, at $50 to replace a set, I think it
is time to get a different reel. Can anyone reccommend a good,
reliable brand? We have an in-ground pool.
The roller bearings are plastic and just end up falling apart.

    Hi Dave
    I am not familiar with the Elite cover reel, but have you considered
    letting one of the specialist bearing supply shops take a look at the
    bearing and see if they can come up with something a little more durable
    to replace the plastic. You might be surprised at how many different
    bearings are available.
