I use a mesh filter in my crawler line to catch all large stuff, and
a fine bag in the strainer for small stuff. How often do I need to
backwash my DE filter (I use cellulose fiber, which filters better
than DE and uses half as much)? Do I need to add media everytime I
backflush? That would get really expensive if backflushing once a
week as I’ve read, although it doesn’t say what kind of filter
they’re talking about.
