I think if I had an oval I would try to make the reel at one end like I
had with my in ground years ago. There is an oval down the road from here
and the reel is in the middle. I thought maybe we could make one and spent
all this money on plastic abs pipes […]

Water Warehouse above ground solar cover reel…
October 28th, 2005 · 2 Comments
I don’t have the solar reel although we looked into them a couple
months ago.
Ours is an oval, 15′x31′ AG. The reel would have been ackward across
the end of the pool or we could have bought one to swing off the side
yet it would be extremely heavy with the cover rolled up on it.
We opted for […]

Newbie - How do I know when my pool is clean enough to swim in?
October 27th, 2005 · 1 Comment
Hi!
We bought a house 2 months ago with an inground pool and dh is
determined to get it up and running asap. It was a lovely green pond
complete with various wildlife. It is now a milky aqua colour -
clearing at the shallow end (I can see the bottom at that end until
it gets deeper).
DH has treated […]

above ground pool rust issues
October 26th, 2005 · No Comments
24 foot above ground pool. The wall around the return has rusted
and is now leaking slowly. Also the bottom portion of the top rail
has rusted and is falling off (the part inside the pool) I will
post pictures for reference. Any suggestions?

New A/G Pump and filter
October 24th, 2005 · No Comments
I have an 18′ A/G pool and the pump motor is starting to give me trouble. I
realize that I mcan probably just replace the motor but I’m giving serious
consideration to replacing the entire pump/filer assembly. It’s a sand
filter and I’m sure that the whole installation was done on the cheap so I’m
sure that everything is […]

Backwash how often?
October 23rd, 2005 · No Comments
I use a mesh filter in my crawler line to catch all large stuff, and
a fine bag in the strainer for small stuff. How often do I need to
backwash my DE filter (I use cellulose fiber, which filters better
than DE and uses half as much)? Do I need to add media everytime I
backflush? That would […]

Air out of returns
October 21st, 2005 · No Comments
I am a new inground pool owner. I have a two speed pump. When the
pump is on low, after a few hours, small air bubbles come out of
some of the pool returns, not all of them. When the pump is
switched to high, large amounts of air come gurgling through most of
the […]

Pump recommendations for Solar Heater
October 19th, 2005 · 1 Comment
Hi. I have two solar heating panels that I need to install on my
garage roof for my pool. The problem is that the pump that came
with my Intex pool is not able to pump the water up to the roof.
Looks like the pump does not have the proper HP or dynamic head to
push the water […]
