I have an older fiberglass pool about 12k gal. which has developed
black patches on the wall. I have shocked the crap out of it and
still there. It will not scub off either. Any suggestions?
black algae?

I’ve had that problem before as well, with a liner pool, just along
the bottom of the walls and I never got rid of the damn stuff until I
changed the liner….
