empty and refill?

July 27th, 2005 · No Comments

Last season I battled the dark green water for a month straight and
only won after I used some all in one chemical that I cant remember.
Shamefully I did not maintain the pool (24 foot above ground thatis
half in the ground) over the winter so once again the fight is on.
Lots of liquid chlorine, shock powder, stabilizer added and I am
losing so far.
Problem is my DE filter gets clogged and loses pressure after 10
minutes. I bump it with the handle, all is good for 10 more minutes
and back to square one.
Difficult to run filter all day this way with no one home to watch
it.
At this point should I empty it and refill? i am worried about the
walls collapsing in. Anyone know what that all in one checmical
could have been?
