Adding chlorine

May 20th, 2005 · 1 Comment

I have another newbie question. What is the best way to add granulated
chlorine:
- directly to the pool after dissolving in water
- through the skimmer box with the filter on recirculate
- through the skimmer box while filtering
or doesn’t it really matter!
Thanks
Cheers

It depends on who makes the chlorine! If it desolves readily then you should
be able to broadcast it directly in the pool more in the deep end. If you
are using DiChlor then it should be safeto broadcast even for a vinyl liner
pool. If you are going to mix it add the chlorine to water and never add water

to chlorine. If you mix it add a little at a time or you may get a nose full
and it burns so be careful.
