Hi,
I live in Southern California and I have a oval gunite pool covered
with fiberglas. I have a Kreepy Krauly pool vacuum which I have
plugged into my Sta-Rite Skimmer Box. This does an excellent job
cleaning the bottom of the pool, but the pool water surface remains
dirty. Any solutions?
Thanks,
Mike

Mike,
Herein lies the problem with suction side cleaners and you should have had
them install a dedicated suction line for the cleaner when they did the
fiberglass. There are two solutions to your problem the no cost and the high
cost.
The no cost is for you to unplug your KK every few days and let the skimmer
work. The high cost is a product from a company called Polaris in the form of
an
in-line skimmer. It attaches to the hoses you use for the KK and floats in
the pool several feet from your normal skimmer. It also serves as a leaf
canister for the KK and the last time I saw one it retailed for $129. I cannot
remember the name of the product but your pool supply dealer should know.
