Thanks for the responses. I’m doing as advised and reading the back
posts. I’m up to 629 of 1869 so I imagine it will be a few more days
before I’m completely up to speed. Anyway while I’m reading the past
history and gaining a good understanding of algae, may I ask a
question?
Has anyone here done their own general contractor work for your in
ground pool?
Thanks,
Jo

Yes,
But not to build it only to renovate it. In addition I did much of the work
myself because i worked in the industry and could get the materials at
wholesale prices. The things I did contract for were things that either
required a
large number of people or things i did not have experience in such as
plastering or pouring slabs of concrete and demolition.
Acting as your own general contractor can save a bunch of money but it is
also a bunch of hassle. There may be an organization in your area that offers
help for people who wish to construct their own pools. They may be called
“Build your own Pool” or something like that.
Good luck,
Ken
