solar blanket
April 27th, 2005 · 1 Comment
I used a solar cover for the first time at the end of last season.
The solar cover worked great but it was impossible to get on and off
the pool without 2 strong adults. I know I could buy a reel but my
pool is odd shaped and 25 feet by 40 feet and the larger reels […]

Plaster differences
April 22nd, 2005 · 1 Comment
I have been reading about the older plaster being better. That some
newer plaster isn’t as good. Can someone please explain precise what
this means. That is what is the difference between ‘good’ and ‘bad’
plaster and how I can know if they are mixing ‘good’ or ‘bad’
plaster?
Thanks,
Jo

I have the following equipment, and am looking for owners manuals so I can
use it better/properly:

Thanks everyone & question
April 19th, 2005 · 1 Comment
Thanks for the responses. I’m doing as advised and reading the back
posts. I’m up to 629 of 1869 so I imagine it will be a few more days
before I’m completely up to speed. Anyway while I’m reading the past
history and gaining a good understanding of algae, may I ask a
question?
Has anyone here done their own […]

Hello Everyone;
I am newly subscribed and we are getting ready to build a pool, our
first pool ever. I’m wondering if people could share recommendations
on pitfalls to avoid and anything else you can think of that might
help out.
Thanks,
Jo

Mineral Salt vs. Chlorine
April 9th, 2005 · 1 Comment
Hi i am a new member and we are getting a 20×40 inground pool. One
of the options is a Mineral Salt system by Bioguard. I would like
to know what the annual cost would be for this system for the pool.
We live in the Northeast and the pool would probably be open May
thru August. Any idea […]

Pentair Whisperflo 2HP question
April 8th, 2005 · 4 Comments
I just bought and installed a new Pentair Whisperflo 2HP pump and a
Pentair Triton II TR-100 sand filter. I connected all of the
plumbing and electrical and turned on the pump. Everything runs good
and then after a few minutes the pump turns off, then a couple
minutes later back on, then a few later back off. Keeps […]
