I’m wondering if we really need to close our pool for the winter.
I’m in southern AZ, northwest of Tucson, and our winters are mild.
Very little rain, very little freezing nights. We have no tall,
leafing trees and just bugs and dust to worry about.
What happens if we decide not to cover it? Would we treat it just as
if it were summer? Pump on every day? Or could we shock it once a
week? We still have at least a few weeks of swim season left and to
decide what winter cover we’ll be buying but just want to know about
not covering it.
TIA
?’s about not “closing” pool for winter

My husband drives into the Ina/Thorneydale area everyday, not a bad
drive…into the central part of the city? That’s just a nasty
drive! LOL
We haven’t decided what we’re going to do about covering the pool or
not yet, I’m passing all the info along to my hubby.
Thank all of you for your input!

We’ve been in the Marana School district since moving here 9 yrs ago
and have been extremely happy with the schools. One of the main
reasons for moving here to Avra Valley was to get out of the city and
awaay from all the crime. Marana gets a bad rap, I’m sure you’ve
heard it, but I love the country living and rural lifestyle. We have
the mountain views, definately not as nice as the east side but
beautiful none the less. It’s growing tremendously and I can only
hope this doesn’t turn more of an extension of Tucson.
