Reading the above post has caused me to think about what remedies I
may have against the company that opened my pool this year. I
purchased my home in January and opened the pool in May. It is an
inground 18×36. Being completely naive to pools I used the yellow
pages and called a company to come open it up. To make a long story
short I strongly suspected the pool company of stealing my backyard
patio furniture ( I had put the furniture out about 1 week before
opening the pool, and it disappeared about 1 week after - my rear
yard is not visible from the street or rear neigbors so nobody else
would have known about the furniture). Obviously this fall I called
on a different company to handle the closing. They told me that the
ladder was installed without bumpers and caused a large rip (which I
have now seen as well) in the liner. The liner was getting older
anyway, but now it will definitely need to be replaced next spring.
Would I be spinning my wheels trying to get the original service
company to accept any responsibility? They completely blew me off
and ignored me when I asked about my patio furniture. Thanks for any
advice.
