I’m new to this group.
I have a in-ground concrete rendered pool that holds 64000-litres.
The pool is about 30 years old, and it has an up-to-date chlorine
pump system. The pool seems to be in need of repainting or some
other renovation, as the old paint is disappearing from the pool, and
leaving a patchy blue/grey bottom-of-the-pool.
1. What is recommended? Acrylic painting or perhaps a new finish to
the pool such as pebblecrete or one of the finer finishes…
2. I’m contemplating:
a) automatic chlorine feed. Would this negate any need for pool
upkeep, or is there still work required apart from keping the
chlorine cannister full?
b) Nature 2 oxidiser. Is this a fish-oil solution, or is it actually
useful? I’ve heard it said that these are only good for the time
that you don’t use your pool, and that normal chlorine levels are
needed during summer.
c) Converting to Salt Water chlorinator. Everyone I’ve talked to
about these is pro-salt-water.
I’d be interested to hear what people think.
Thanks,
MikeG
