Regarding the discussion from yehoshua30 on using 6 cups of D.E.
after backwashing:
My filter is Hayward EC65, not sure if that indicates a size but the
pool guy told me to recharge with 6 - 1lb. coffee cans of D.E.. I
don’t know how many cups (8 oz size)that would be, but a lot more
than 6 - cups. My pool is 16 X 32, with a waist deep end and a “I
haven’t measured how deep it is” end.
