I inherited a baracuda pool cleaner with my house/pool. It looks old
but still chugs away when you plug it in. The problem is that it gets

I remember seeing this, but can’t remember. When using a vac with a
sand filter, what position should the valve be turned to. In other
words, waste, backflush, etc. I know that normal causes a lot of

I had a 24′ above ground installed this year and when I ventured in
the other day, I noticed that the bottom isn’t perfectly smooth.

Tracy, take a sample to the pool store and have them check the pH, TA and
free and total chlorine. You will probably find the pH very low and the free
chlorine level to be zero.
