After reading the posts on the Polaris vacuum, I’m curious about something.
We had a inground, gunite pool put in about 3 years ago by Blue Haven
Pools. It came with a vacuum that works fairly well though it has a
tendency to run in circles at the deep end. So, I’m considering getting
another one but hae some questions.
Our vacuum works off a dedicated return line (it goes to the vacuum and to
our rock waterfall only) but works off the regular (1.5hp, I think) pump.
The posts about the Polaris talk about a timer and a separate pump so am I
limited to the type I can get to replace this one. I’m not sure of the mfg
as I’m currently at work, but I posted last week and mentioned the mfg.
Thanks for your help.

What does the vacuume look like? Does it have a bag, three wheels or four, a
big hose or one that looks like a garden hose. If you have a dedicated line
there is a possibility that you could adapt a polaris.

You can convert the Jandy line to use a Polaris. You will need the fittings
in the pool and to cut the line and install a booster pump as well as install
a timeclock for the booster pump.
