Hello!
Looks like this group will be a very useful resource for me after having a
quick skim through the message archives First of all I know bugger all about pools :). Me and my wife moved into
our new home about 5 months ago and we’re still getting to grips with the
[…]

polaris 380 vac
August 25th, 2004 · 3 Comments
My pool builder told me if I buy a polaris 380 he would install it
for free. (the polaris 380 was an $1800 option if I wanted it from
the builder). My local spa and pool store sells the polaris 380 for
$1200. I am finding them in internet stores for a low of $571 to
$800.
Acording to the […]

9 meters?
Yeah, about that, maybe more like 10 x 5.5
The tube is MDPE mains water pipe. It contains carbon so it’s UV
resistant. It’s 25mm o/d, 25mm i/d
Be warned, it’s not easy to work with. You can see my coil looks a
bit scruffy in places, this was because it is very […]

Adding pool steps to an inground vinyl pool
August 21st, 2004 · 1 Comment
We’ve been thinking about adding after-market pool steps to our
inground vinyl pool, but are confused about how they fit. There are
several models in the various pool supplies catalogs, but we still
have many questions.
Our pool does not have a flat bottom, and there is a curve (not a
right-angle) between the wall and bottom.
How do pool steps […]

sports pool
August 21st, 2004 · 1 Comment
I am in the process of getting a pool. Instead of a pool with
a 9 foot deep end and a diving board I was thinking about getting a
pool that my builder is calling a sports pool. I would have shallow
ends on both sides and come to a deeper area in the middle that is
5.5 feet […]

Thought this could be helpful for some:
I run a small website where I sell a nice product called a skimmer
basket nets. Its relatively inexpensive compared to other products in
the pool industry. Its very helpful for keeping your pool filter
system cleaner , I also use it myself. I make a small profit on every
sale but I […]

Best pool chemicals?
August 16th, 2004 · No Comments
My husband and I are having our above ground pool installed tomorrow.
We have been visiting pool stores and it seems that every one of them
just swear by their own chemicals. What, in your opinion, is the best
kind?
Thanks,
Susan
