pool pump pressure fix

July 31st, 2004 · No Comments

i posted a question to the group last week, but i never saw it
published. probably corporate software.
had a problem: pressure drop on pump. I cleaned the filter
(totally), but the problem was still there. I took pump motor apart,
easy job, inside i found a whole bunch of leaves in the impeller
blades. cleaned them out, and put pump back together. ($6.00 for a
new o-ring). I think one may be able to use a shop vac to remove the
leaves that accumulate there, through the intake opening in the
basket area, and avoid taking the pump apart.
i don’t know how the leaves got around the basket.
i hope this helps someone with the same problem
