To much Chlorine

June 19th, 2004 · 2 Comments

This is my first year having a pool. I tested my water and it has
too much chlorine in it. How can I reduce the chlorine?

How much is to much? If you are at 5 ppm do not worry but if you are at 20
then remove your feeder and wait. You can use chlorine neutralizer but then
    you are spending more money.

Too much chlorine in the water is rarely a problem for long, as it is
lost naturally by various means, so if you don’t add any more it will
    soon return to lower levels.
What reading are you getting, and how are you measuring it?
How did you come to have “too much”? What dosing method are you
using, and what form is the chlorine being added in (eg tablets,
    powder, liquid….)?
