I’m planning to purchase a new solar cover reel and solar cover for
my inground pool. Any advice on brands or types on both of these
items?

New IG Pool/Spa, need help for spa heater
April 29th, 2004 · No Comments
I am in the process of designing a pool in AZ. It is an IG pool/spa
combo. I want to heat the spa only (1000 gal approx). My choices are
electric or propane, there is no NG in our neighborhood.
I have researched heat pumps and it appears that they can maintain
the heat at a less cost than […]

Any links anyone can share on building an indoor pool or converting an
outdoor pool to indoor? I am sure there is more involved than just putting
up a roof and walls…Thanks!

Pool heating idea
April 24th, 2004 · No Comments
Nick,
It depends on where you are located. I have been researching solar
pool heating. The common black mat collectors disappointed me. THe
required square footage relative to the pool surface area was in
excess of 50%. I can just see 250 sq ft of black mat on my roof.
They were also a bit […]

Door alarms
April 20th, 2004 · 2 Comments
In order to pass inspection on my new pool, I’m required to install
alarms on all of the house doors leading to the swimming pool area.
In my case, that’s 12 doors! I’m all for preventing the tragedy of
accidental drownings of children. But since it’s just my wife and I
living in the house, […]

April 19th, 2004 · 1 Comment
The plaster on the bottom and sides of my pool is starting to flake
off. Can someone tell me first, what is the superior finish. Is it
pebbletec, fiberglass (fibretec), or just go with a good replaster .
Also, how much does this processs go for?? My pool is a playpool 3-5-
4 and is about 35X15. Can’t seem […]
