Hi everyone,
My husband and I just bought a new home that came with an above
ground pool. Since we’ve never dealt with a pool before, I’m sure
I’ll be on here frequently next spring asking questions. However,
right now, we’re not sure we want to keep the pool. I was just
wondering if any one has any information out there about how much it
costs (approximately) to remove an above ground pool and any
difficulties in doing so. It’s 21′ round. Thanks for your help and
I look forward to reading your responses and suggestions.

Some of the cost may depend upon what type of AG pool it is. If it is the
type with metal sides and it is in good shape you may just sell it to someone
for free and have them remove it for you. I am sure someone will jump at the
chance to get a pool that costs several thousand dollars new for free. The
real problem comes when you decise what to do with the area where the pool
was located. If the pool has been there for several years the ground is hard
and will need some tilling to plant grass. As far as selleing it just put an
ad in the local paper and see how many takers you have. If none then just
take it apart yourself and haul it to the local dump. It is not hard just
bulky.
