heaters

November 20th, 2003 · 4 Comments

Hi,
I hope a pool expert can help me here. Our pool had a broken and
rusted out heater when we moved into the house. I would like to buy
a heater and I am wondering if there are any that can be directly
vented out the side wall of the cabana that houses our equipment.
Our home furnace vents out the side of the house with no smoke stack
and I am hoping for a similar vent for a pool heater. Am I in luck?

Check with the city or county building commission for your area. They will
be the one to tell you.

Go to www.raypac.com and send them an email at the contact us section and ask
their tech support if they have a stack that vents sideways.

The Term you are looking for is “Direct Vent” This provides they will
side vent and also bring in combustion air from the outside.
    I have a 400,000 BTU Stay-rite (I don’t know the model #) that can be
direct vented with an optional kit, so they are available
