In all the years I have been maintaining this pool (21yrs) I have never
seen what I seen in their before.Water is crystal clear.chorine level
good ph is a little down.
It is like black spots .Looks like tar and had to get in to scub them
and still could not get it off.Hit it with 2 bags of super shock
tonight.Will try in am.would happen now have apool party at 4 pm.
Does anyone know what this is?

You are just having fun with that pool. Are the spots on the side and may
have a stain running down from the spot? If so they are cobalt stains. Use
some ascorbic acid (vitamin C) in a sock next to the spot. Then use some
metal removing treatment after the stains are gone.

The pool surface is white and the water is so blue now then I have those
black spot.They are like tar stuck to it.Will try what you said.Never
seen this before.And have that party at 4 pm.Problem the place I buy
that kind of chemical is out of town.Guess I will try some good old
elbow grease.If I do not drown trying .
