Even if it doesn’t pop out all the way, the tendency is for it to pop out
somewhat. It’s like a boat, and the ground is like an ocean.
I am sure other people can tell you more.

How do you think our pool can be resurfaced if we can not drain it?

What are boats made of? Answer: FIBERGLASS. Yes if the water table is
high enough the pool will try and float. It may rise only and inch or so but
this is enough to break pipes and crack the deck. The water in that pool
weighs as much as an 18 wheeler and may be the only thing keeping it in the
ground. The basic question I have is how far do you have to dig before you
strike water?

I live in the swamplands of Louisiana I tap the ground lightly and I hit
water.Think we will get this done pofessionally. Will cost
alot I bet. But in 21 yrs this is the first time we have had to do any
repairs.
The pool has been so much fun for everyone. Now the grandkids are
comming so will keep it going.

Great your pool will not pop out it will fly out. I used to live in
Pineville when I was stationed at England AFB in Alexandria. I left there in
‘92 just before they closed it. But yes the water table in southern
Louisiana is very high. Is the water that old? Unless there is a method to
keep the same amount of weight in the pool when the water is removed it will
rise. When I left LA they sent me to Arizona where you can drain a pool
without it popping out of the ground but where the sun will dry and crack the
surface in a day if left dry in the summer.

I live 10 mins from the bay which leads to the Gulf.Pineville is way up
north.Nice hills up their. We are considered below sea level.
Can you believe we still have the same water we fill the pool with 21
yrs ago.Have added a little over the years but not much.

In Southern Arizona the pool water is completly replaced every year because
of evaporation. Water evaporates during the summer at a rate of at least two
inches per week. In about five years the TDS and hardness are through the
roof and the pool water must be replaced.

I liked Pineville. I lived near the lake just north of the Red River.

Pineville is very nice.Been there only one time.
I am sure all the rain we have here is one reason we never had to
replace the water.I was surprize to hear you have to replace the water
every year. That must be an exspence and a big job.how do you do this?
When we filled the pool the fire dept came and pump it in.

They do not replace it. It evaporates. About every five years they replace
it. A sump pump works well and all pools have fill lines. Some are
automatic.

Do you think liner pool last long? How often do you have to change the
liner? what does it cost.I often wonder if I should have gotten a liner
one.
It cost me about $ 10,ooo. that was for pool complete install and
cememt around it plus wooden fence. That was 21 yrs ago.Wonder what cost
would be today.

At least twice that. You have the same problem with the vinyl liner pool.
