Newbie and large hole in liner question!

July 28th, 2003 · 7 Comments

Hi everyone. Until I started looking for help, I never even thought
there was a group like this!
I have an above ground pool which has about a 2″ hole in it (we had a
storm and the canopy went in the pool and broke the liner). Not
thinking it was too big of a deal, when we went […]

Anyone heard anything about Sun-Fun pools or USA Industries Sea Isle

DE Leaking Into Pool

Here is the best advice I can give you about that Perflex filter and
Superpump. JUNK THEM. The perflex is hard to work on compaired to the
universal grid models, parts are beyond expensive an the filter is just not
that good. The Superpump does not compare with the Super II. The Super II

Is my filter broken?

July 15th, 2003 · 8 Comments

Hi,
Finally refilled my pool after (hopefully) fixing a leak.
It’s very green and there is lots of rubbish on the bottom. I got the
hoover-on-a-pole out and started to clean it but as I went over the green
bits, the green seemed to go right through the filter and come belching back
out the pool inlet jet! Is this […]

How many hours to run filter

July 14th, 2003 · No Comments

The first thing to do is determine how many gallons your pool has in it. You
did not state the depth so I cannot tell. Formula LxWxaverage depthx7.5 or a
rectangular pool. Next is to check the manufacturers specs in the pump and
filter to see hoe many gallons per minute they pump. After you […]

water mold?

July 12th, 2003 · 1 Comment

This is our first summer owning a pool. It’s an above ground 30′ and about 4 or
5′ deep.
We’ve been using Baquacil, and everything was fine until we left town for a few
days. The pump runs constantly, but when we got home, it needed to be
backwashed. The pool was VERY cloudy. We shocked it, but it […]

Treating water..

July 9th, 2003 · 3 Comments

This is my first time posting here, so please bear with me. I
treated my water yesterday evening at about 7 pm with Liquid shock. I
was wondering, how long after you shock your water can you get an
actual reading on the tests? I tested my water today at about 2 pm
and wondered if the results would […]
