Go with plaster.Fiberglass tends to be more high maintance than
plaster.Plus fiberglass tends to spot alot more if you dont watch
your levels just about daily.
Plaster is alot easier to maintain.Example if you had a spot of alge
of the wall of a plaster pool you could rub a chlorine tablet over it
to help remove it, you shouldnt do this on fiberglass.I work for a
pool company and we dont sell fiberglass pools .Go with plaster or a
vinyl liner.Wait on the yard til the pool work is done. You never know
what problems you may run into. I just had a customer that just had
to have it her way and have the yard done first, she ended up dishing
out more money for lawn repairs. Try to find a company that will do
the plaster and your yard. Many have contractors they use.Good Luck

It was only after the landscaper gave me his reasonable bid that I
thought of the coordination of efforts. My landscaper mentioned he
built pools, I wonder if that means he does resurfacing, too? I will
have to call him tomorrow. It would make it a little easier that way.
I still have to check his recent references, too. The city has been
breathing down our neck recently to get landscaping in our front yard,
which is why I am anxious to start. (New city ordinance requires
landscaping in front yards. I get the point, I just don’t see how I am
supposed to wave a magic wand and have it happen.) Good advice, keep it
coming!
