My blue haven story

January 29th, 2003 · 3 Comments

Thanks for the post. I checked out your site. Sad
that’s it’s been such a stressful experience, it doesn’t
have to be like that. I hope, like me, a pool owner
for 12 years, you’ll have so much fun with it over
years to come that you’ll still consider it worthwhile
in the end. Bad publicity hurts, so keep making sure
others hear about your experience with that company.

I just noticed your message regarding your Blue
Haven pool. I have been very dissatisfied with the
service and follow up (NONE to be exact!) after the
installation and incompletion of my Blue Haven Pool.
Incompetence cannot begin to describe the service personnel.
There is constant turnover in personnel. It took
several weeks to get something as simple as a bad timer
changed. They have been given a “punch list” and have
promised several times to correct the problems. It has
been over 18 months to date and not much has been
done. I will post updates as they develop.<br
Is your website changed or still active?

I have a Barmil pool.. What a disaster to say the
least. They did not use screws in all the places they
had too, the deck in a couple of places is loose and
coming apart, they put the filter directly under the
deck so to access the filter is very difficult, the
water turned so green I had to add 50 gallons of bleach
to a 24 round pool just to get it clean. When I
called the company they just gave me a song and dance
and never did anything to correct the problems..oh
yea… the water discharge on the filter is aimed at the
pool ,so when I have the filter on waste… the water
shoots right at the pool and takes away the dirt holding
the pool up, we had to tie up the hose to point it
away from the pool… It has been a year and the
Barmil company will not do a thing to fix these problems

even after my lawyer wrote them a letter.<br
never buy a Barmil pool, it was very expensive also,
    over $9,000
